Some info on our seeds...

Butterfly & Bee Seed Mix

Sow: Late March to June or early autumn.

Prepare an area of soil in a sunny part of the garden. Sprinkle your seeds, rake lightly and gently firm down. Keep the area watered until the seedlings appear and then water as required. Annuals will flower in the first season with some biennials and perennials flowering the following year.

Forget me not – Myosotis alpestris

Sow between June and August.

Sow seeds 0.5cm beneath surface of the soil and gently firm down. Germination will take 5-30 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, prick out and space 25cm apart. Plants will flower April to June the following year.

Poppy – Papaver rhoeas

Sow March to May and August to Sept.

Sow directly where it is to flower as it does not like to be disturbed. Prefers full sun and a well-drained soil. Can be sown in autumn for flowering the following year or in spring as an annual. Space plants 25cm apart.

Pot Marigold – Calendula officinalis

Sow under cover March to April and September to November or outdoors in April and May.

Sow 10mm deep in good soil. Germination usually takes 5-10 days. When seedlings are large enough to handle, thin to 30cm apart.

Evening primrose (Oenothera Lamarckiana)

Sow: Late March to June or early autumn.
